This collection of sound effects was created using only human voices without any additional audio effects. Some tracks are comprised of multiple layers. The collection lies somewhere near the traditional sound effects mimicry of performers like Michael Winslow (of Police Academy fame) with a nod to the sound poetry of avant-garde vocal artist Jaap Blonk. The recording of these tracks sought to go beyond imitation and instead focus attention towards the expression, structure, and imagery of the sounds.
